Remember to be a Meerkat! Check your mirrors before you do anything!
Stay calm. Remember you wouldn't be doing this if you weren't ready!
Don't forget to press the brake at the same time as selecting drive!
Be cautious around other vehicles, don't blindly try and squeeze through. It's ok to be nervous and a negative outcome isn't the end of the world.
Keep an eye on your speed and continuously look for the speed limit signs. Just because the road feels/looks faster don't put your foot down on the gas pedal. Always use the physical road signs for the actual speed limit of the road and not a Sat Nav.
Don't get too close to others. If in doubt, don't continue!
Make sure you fully stop the car at a stop sign. Don't let the car roll, even if it is extremely slow!
Believe in yourself and have confidence! You would not be sitting in that drivers seat if you were not capable of passing. Go into your test knowing you can pass and believe that. Getting past the nerves is really hard, but having confidence in your abilities and trusting your instincts will make the world of difference. Nerves were a big thing for me, but I worked through it and found belief that I could do it and passed!

Nicky hasn't lost the plot when she says eat a banana before the test. It really does work and helped my nerves.
If in doubt back out. Don't try and squeeze through a gap, trust your first instinct.
Watch out for queuing traffic around pedestrian crossings. Be prepared to wait behind the stop line until it is safe to proceed, just in case the lights change.
Look, look, and look some more! Embrace your inner meerkat!
