About Me
Hi, I’m Nicky. I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety.
Before becoming an ADI I served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) for 18 years, as an Aerospace Systems Operator. My final 5 years of service were spent at RAF Halton as an RAF Drill Instructor, training and graduating Phase 1 recruits entering the RAF to start their careers. In my role as an RAF Drill Instructor I was additionally trained to help those with additional learning needs including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia & Dyspraxia.
It was whilst at RAF Halton where I met my husband Mark. We now have 2 wonderful children; Poppy who is 12 and Caleb who is 8.
When I left the RAF I trained as a swim teacher and specialised in Baby & Pre-School swim lessons. After having my son I had to look for something that would fit in around the care of my children better. I spend my spare time with my family and I operate my driving school around their needs.
I became a driving instructor because I wanted another job with real satisfaction. There is nothing better than watching someone achieve their goals. I enjoy training others and want to contribute to helping the drivers of the future not just by passing their driving test but also to being a safe driver for life.
I have been trained in the latest adult Coaching and training techniques so you can be assured that the training I give will be of the highest standard.
I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible. Lessons are always conducted in a calm and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease during lessons.
